FROM ONLINE TO FLYING CHANGES
Combining the physical and mental aspects of Dressage with principals of Natural Horsemanship has Become a fascinating journey. When turning to the Masters , both past and present for advice, they all point in one direction… Present your teaching the way most natural to the horse!
Recently, I have found a description in Udo Buerger`s Book: “Vollendete Reitkunst” regarding the foundation Of training horses a young horse at the Cavalery School at Hannover in the 1940`s. In this basic training, the young horse was asked to be regulated in all 3 gates only by a slight shift in the rider`s upper body. Both reins were held with ample slack in one hand on top of the withers. The horse was schooled in balance, straightness and learningto shift weight onto his hindquaters. For up to a year this work was accomplished out in the fields and hills. The method was deemed The Natural Way of Training Horses.
